She was traumatized. She just didn’t know how or where to start again. If she ever wanted anything in this world, it was only to be loved wholeheartedly by someone; a man who would treat her as his utmost priority. It would have made her life whole and meaningful. Life instead became a sweet sorrow, a twist, and a turn of ennui and bitterness.
“Love is beautiful but some people are unfortunate that they get just contempt, and downright neglect instead,” Isabelle voiced out.
“Isabelle, I know you will find love again, I’m happy you were able to leave that marriage, you’re a strong woman, you’re not a rehabilitation center for a badly raised man,” Sarah replied.
“All I wanted was love, money was never the problem for me, everything I had, I gave to him. Why then did he think it was okay to abuse me physically and emotionally? Sarah, my only crime was loving him,” Isabelle said as tears dripped down her cheeks.
“What are you doing here? You should leave now!” Sarah shouted as Carl knelt in front of Isabelle begging.
“I’m sorry, I promise I’m going to change,” Carl pleaded.
“What was my crime? I only loved you but you humiliated me and killed my baby, denying me the joy of motherhood. I lost my baby because of you – you couldn’t even give me the opportunity to see the child that was growing in my womb. That was the final straw! That broke the damn wall!” Isabelle shouted
“I’m sorry, I promise never to hit you again, I promise to be that man you met three years ago,” Carl pleaded.
“Carl,” Isabelle called
“You have never called me by my name before. I’m sorry, just give me this chance to prove to you that I’m a changed man,” Carl said trying to fight the tears.
“Carl Zach, I made you, and I will break you. That love is gone, dead, and buried. Kiss everything goodbye, and when you travel to the other world, be sure to tell my daughter that I miss her. Of course, I know you won’t make it for long without me – I made you and I own you,” Isabelle said as she walked out of the house together with Sarah.
