beneath my scars

Mr. Feltcher stood by Isabelle’s grave, his shoulders slumped in grief as he placed a bouquet of white roses on the freshly turned earth. The cemetery was quiet, save for the soft rustling of leaves in the gentle breeze. Tears welled up in his eyes as he whispered words of love and sorrow to his departed daughter.

Emilia, his estranged wife, approached slowly, her heart heavy with remorse. Her eyes were red from crying, and she held a bouquet of lilies in trembling hands. She wanted to share in this moment of mourning, to find some solace together, but she knew the anger that had simmered in Mr. Feltcher’s heart for so long.

She took a tentative step forward, her voice trembling. “Edward, please, let’s… let’s find a way to grieve together. Isabelle was our daughter, too.”

Mr. Feltcher’s head snapped up, and his eyes bore into Emilia’s with a mixture of pain and fury. “You!” he hissed, venom lacing his words. “Don’t you dare step your foot on this sacred ground! This is private land, a place I had to buy because of what you did to Isabelle. You couldn’t even let her rest in peace!”

Emilia’s tears flowed freely now as she attempted to explain. “Edward, you have to understand, I never wanted any of this to happen. Isabelle was my daughter too, and I loved her just as much as you did.”

But her words fell on deaf ears. The wounds were too deep, the pain too raw. Mr. Feltcher turned away from Emilia, unable to bear the sight of her any longer. He continued to mutter his heartfelt words to Isabelle, shutting Emilia out completely.

Meanwhile, Tracy and the triplets, Gabriel, Ryan, and Kylian, had traveled a long distance to pay their respects to Isabelle. The atmosphere was heavy with grief as they stood in a solemn circle around the grave. Tracy clung to her brother, Gabriel, for support, while Ryan and Kylian looked at the ground, their faces etched with sadness.

Kylian, overwhelmed by guilt and remorse, fell to his knees beside the grave. Tears streamed down his face as he whispered, “Isabelle, please forgive me. I never meant for any of this to happen. I was weak, and I made a terrible mistake.”

His voice quivered with emotion, and his family could feel the depth of his regret. Tracy reached out and placed a hand on his shoulder, offering what little comfort she could.

Their mourning was interrupted by a sudden voice from behind them. They turned to see Alex, their cousin, standing there, his face a mixture of sadness and anger. It was Alex who had spilled the truth to Isabelle about the tainted drink and the affair between Kylian and Emilia. He had been the mysterious caller all along.

Alex dropped his bouquet of lilies, and it landed with a soft thud on the ground. His gaze was fixed on Kylian, and his voice was laced with bitterness. “Damaged people are dangerous,” he murmured, his words carrying a weight that chilled the air. “They know how to make hell feel like home.”

He took a step closer to Kylian, his eyes locked on his cousin’s. “I hope you’re ready, Kylian, because Mr. Feltcher is coming for you.”

Kylian’s heart sank as he realized the gravity of Alex’s words. He had always feared the wrath of Isabella’s father, but now it seems that his worst nightmares were about to come true.

Tracy and the triplets exchanged worried glances, unsure of what to do next. The family secrets and betrayals that had torn them apart were now laid bare, and the consequences were looming on the horizon.

Mr. Feltcher finally rose from Isabelle’s grave, his face etched with grief and anger. He turned to Emilia, his eyes burning with fury. “You’ve caused enough pain,” he said, his voice low and menacing. “Leave, and never come back here. Isabelle deserves better than to have her memory tainted by your presence.”

Emilia nodded, her tears falling like raindrops. She turned and walked away, leaving behind the family she had once been a part of. It was a painful and final farewell, and she knew she could never undo the damage she had caused.

Tracy and the triplets watched in silence as Emilia disappeared from view. The weight of the past and the uncertainty of the future hung heavy in the air. They knew that the road ahead would be filled with challenges, as they tried to mend the shattered bonds of their family.

As they stood there, the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows over Isabelle’s grave. The world seemed to hold its breath, as if waiting for the storm that was about to descend upon them.

Dear God, Do you even hear me, or are you just reading like I’m another footnote in your plan?
